But nobody’s ever given me a satisfactory explanation as to what is an English Identity, The Scots seem to manage as do the Irish and Welsh,
Even you in your explanation have moved from talking about English to British, which are different things.
The fact is that, unlike the Scots and the Irish, the English were only too keen to take on board, instead of resisting, the Federalist ideology of the invading Franco/Norman occupation of the country to the point of helping successive French occupying regimes to create the Federal ‘UK’ by force.Which is what we are left with today. With the exception of the mostly successful war of secession by Ireland and the continuing Nationalist sentiment in Scotland. No surprise that has now reached the point where the ‘UK’ government has handed over most ( 80% ) of even the so called 'UK’s sovereignty to the even larger more controlling Federal control of the EU.
While ironically even Scots and Irish nationalism have allowed themselves to be hijacked by the contradictory Federalist and Socialist agendas.
So really being English means allowing yourself to be invaded by others and absorbing their their laws and cultures, what with the Norman conquest and the invasion of the Vikings lead to the Danelaw regions of Northern and Eastern England. Not to mention the ideas and influences that came across with Christianity, the Crusades and the British Empire.
Recognition of the nation state of England and rejection of the UK federation.
Ethnic Anglo Saxon.
So does that mean boredwivdrivin can’t really consider himself English as he’s reckon his family have been here since the Stone Age and I believe the research shows that the Anglo Saxons arrived after the Romans left, around 500AD. Or maybe he believes you’re also a foreigner who’s ancestors invaded the Country and changed it from the Country his ancestors knew.
boredwivdrivin:
English , been here since stone age .
If it’s pre Anglo Saxon then it ain’t England or English. In which case none of us can guarantee that we don’t have at least some ancient stone age or Celtic Brittonic genes in our ancestry. While I’ve certainly got some Celtic Irish ones.At which point it’s then just a question of recognition of and loyalties to the Anglo Saxon nation. On that note borewivdrivin seems happy enough to be using English rather than staying with stone age grunts or Brittonic.
None of which provides justification for flooding the country with a totally different alien Asian and African etc demographic.Or handing over the English nation state to the UK or the EU federations.

Nice reply Muckles.
P.S. Hey Saxe-Coburg and Gotha ruled in Britain and Bulgaria, we are one big family
Does that mean you and Carryfast might be related?

Also you have Native Americans Afro Americans Asian Americans Irish Americans Americans of any other background
And oddly I’m never called European in America just good ol English

Why there is no referendum for the English to leave UK and become independent English nation state. The Irish fought to be out, the Scottish fought, the second had referendum recently and the only reason Scotland to be in UK is the UK membership in EU. If English want independence why don’t you simply dismember the British union??

Mexican nationality law,as in most cases, provides for nationality based on jus Sanguinis,in which case a Mexican born in America is also Mexican by decent with Mexican nationality to match. In just the same way that ethnic Indian/Pakistanis born here also have Indian/Pakistani nationality based on same. The idea of nationality based on place of birth being just a corruption of nationality law to facilitate immigration usually for cheap labour reasons.

I agree with you, thats what I meant when replying to gazsa401. Place of birth is totally irrelevant.

As I said none of which provides justification for flooding the country with a totally alien ethnic Asian and African demographic.Which the Socialists so often use as an excuse. While the idea of the ‘Anglo Saxon nation’ obviously depends on maintaining a decent proportion of the ethnic Anglo Saxon gene pool or it obviously ain’t any longer an ‘Anglo Saxon’ state.

As I said we’ve got an establishment based on maintaining the UK federation with our English heritage and aristocracy wiped out by the Franco/Norman invasion in 1066.Replaced with a succession of the invasive Federalist one we’ve had ever since which,in typical Federalist style, sees any Nationalist feeling as a threat.
On that note yes the idea of pro UK and anti EU is a contradiction when both contain all the downsides of Federalism and Federal rule.

The problem being that the pro immigration agenda has tried, and in many cases succeeded through propaganda,in making jus Soli ( place of birth ) the most relied on criteria. To the point where most of the indigenous population here probably don’t even know that jus Sanguinis is the relevant criterea in many cases.

I’m far from racist Dolph you’ve obviously not read my past posts
I don’t judge people on the colour of their skin I treat people who I meet with an open mind
I’ve have never on this topic called anyone anything offensive regarding the colour of their skin
Also me being a proud Englishman doesn’t make me a Anglo Saxon racist
I was quoting what Mexicans are called and by the way my cousin in America has 3 children by the same Mexican father

So CF why does my passport say British nationality ■■?
It doesn’t quote British Pakistani or British Indian or Asian or any other definition of British just British
My uncle has lived in the states for 40 years and because he became an American citizen 30 odd years ago
His passport says surprise surprise American
How do you work that one out !!!

So you are saying the law says just being born in the UK makes you a British citizen?
Winseer:
It’s now Racist to have “An English Identity”. Didn’t you know?
“UKIP cannot hope to win in an area where it is now the case that local ethnic Labour support outnumbers white, home-grown British workers by 2-1 in number”
Spokesperson, Oldham, Yesterday.
In other words, it is now Racist to even be “White British” - let alone vote for a party that supports white British like UKIP.
In fact, UKIP gets some support from those further-seeing ethnics who consider themselves fully intergrated in British Society.
Being “British” is about signing up to our way of life - not what colour one’s skin is or what religion one subscribes to in any case.
As for this UKIP voter - I have never been racist - but I am solidly against Criminals that threaten our way of life with a passion.
I consider my self English (members of our family have done the family tree tracing and it all seems to be English, but we’ve only got back as far as the early 19th Century,) and last time I looked in mirror I looked like a middle aged white male.
But nobody’s ever given me a satisfactory explanation as to what is an English Identity, The Scots seem to manage as do the Irish and Welsh,
Even you in your explanation have moved from talking about English to British, which are different things.
Yeh. I get that. Even the Iceni were based on East Anglia (English) but here we have her dressed like a Scot and talking Celtic, which was more closely related to middle English than the modern variety…
muckles:
So as long as you accept loyalty to the Anglo Saxon Nation you can consider yourself English, even if you’re not Ethnic Anglo Saxon?
It’s a bit more complicated than that.
Especially in our case based on such a diverse ethnic invasive history. It would be fair to say though that it was the Anglo Saxon invasion and resulting nation and obviously massive proportional addition to our gene pool that was/is the defining part of our national identity and history and gave us our language and typically Germanic agricultural and industrial know how.On that note everything which went before or since the defeat of that nation can only be considered a destructive degenerate process.Made up of Federalism and immigration that will ultimately turn it into a foreign country or Federal state that has no relationship whatsoever to anything called England.
The idea of it first being absorbed into the ‘UK’ federation and later the EU federation and subjected to massive levels of alien Asian and African, all with their own distinct cultures and more often foreign loyalties, and possibly, although relatively less alien,Slavic immigration, all being part of that process.
On that note as I said it’s heading for the fate of the former Yugoslavia unless we see a radical change in outlook that realises the difference between Nationalism v Racism.

Anything other than a jus Sanguinis definition of nationality is just a convenience to facilitate immigration and the flawed idea of trying to ‘integrate’ foreign immigrant societies.
The issue of our immigrant nationality status within our own former colonies being a case in point.Although to be fair the American war of Independence was always going to create a problem in that regard.
Your passport actually says EU citizen issued in the sub federation of the UK.That ‘citizenship’ meaning nothing more than having been born here or any other number of variations which meet the criterea.Although to be fair jus Sanguinis/decent in this case still being one of those criteria.
As opposed to the massive change in outlook concerning all that ‘if’ we were to join Ireland and the Scots in breaking up the UK and if we leave the EU and change the definition of nationality to jus Sanguinis only.IE an English passport and definition of sovereign nationality which means what it says.
