Thank you for all your replies, i thought boiling some water wouldn’t be that easy, just going to stick to a another flask of hot water and using those small uht milk packets from the services…(trying to save some money)
I cut the cig plug off my Waeco and fitted a Hella Plug instead, my Scania has a high amp Hella outlet and the plug stays nice and secure. Cig sockets seem too wobbly.
As has been said, most of the travel kettles you can buy at truck stops are only fit for the bin. I’d say the Waeco one is the only reasonable punt. It would be nice if you could get one with a filter near the spout to stop the limescale going in your cup. Does the Weaco one have a filter?
Don’t buy the fancy dan looking one with the glass sides so you can see the element, it leaks when you pour it as the spout is too small.
I’ve just bought one with an enclosed element so it looks just like a metal saucepan so should be easier to clean the limescale out of it. No filter though.
Not as if they’re cheap, £25 that was.
Can’t be arsed boiling water on a stove.
