Hello, I’m looking at importing a few trailers from the Netherlands and/or Belgium for putting to work with in our fleet, just wondered if anyone had any experience in doing this and what would be involved to get them Mot’d in the UK. Can’t find any in the UK with the spec I want so would have to buy new or import from over the water.

I’ve bought a couple. No real problem. I ran one a couple I years on Dutch plates no problem until I had it MOT’d. We had to take it somewhere, can’t remember where, as it was a custom spec for them to approve it, but a simple and cheap enough process.
There are so many ‘grey’ trailers on UK roads so as long as it’s kept up together you shouldn’t have a problem.
