Immigrants returning home?

Another reason for the Poles leaving is the fact that the labour markets in other EU nations, who unlike the UK and Ireland, put a block on them for 7 years are now opening up. New opportunities in new lands closer to Poland. But don’t fear, the Romanians and Bulgarians will soon be here with full rights to work

it seems funny to me that they announced this the day before an election…
or is it just me being suspicious?

Unfortunately, politicians seem to think that the average punter on the street has the brain of an amoeba. New Labour are absolutely desperate at the moment, especially as they know how fed up people are with mass immigration at the moment.

It’s just more spin from the masters of the art,Nu Labour, their mouthpieces the BBC (Brown Broadcasting Corporation) always trot out the same tripe at election times.

Given the car drivers I see these days, isn’t it nice of the politicians to be so generous to the general public? :smiling_imp: :open_mouth:

I feel it’s bad new if this is true. The levels of friendly, efficient, service in shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shops etc is really going to decline again if we are going back to Jeremy Kyle show, everything is just too much trouble, subjects doing the jobs. On the plus side I suppose we will have longer tipping times when the ‘It’s not my job’ mob are back in the warehouses which can only be good for the hourly paid.  I guess it’s just a win a little, lose a little situation. :frowning:

not too sure on this one,
i moved to canada 9 years ago,it isnt what people crack it up to be,its ok,just not home,
im thinking of returning next year,or maybe year after, gotta get finances sorted first…
unless anyone can give me a real reason why its a bad idea…
sometimes it isnt about the money, maybe people just miss their homeland,i do…

Just watching Sky news, and it says that 1 million immigrants have arrived in this country since 2004,however 500,000 have gone back home, mainly Poles,Czechs and Balkan state.

There is plenty of artcles like that as long, as I live here. We are joking among polish community, that these Poles coming back are like Yeti - everyone heard about them, but nobody seen one

But being serious: there always been some move - plenty of Poles just came here for few months to earn some cash and then came back. They are coming back as planned, but not as many come here, as pound is too cheap for them now.

But as for people who choose to live in this country and not just to earn in this country there won’t be mass return.

I think they’ve found that the grass isn’t always greener, however I read yesterday, that a lot are moving to Sweden.

One of the reasons why so many Poles are coming to scandinavia is racism. I have some friends living in Norway and they told me, that Poles there are much more appreciated for their work. I think that can be something as they don’t want to do the same mistake what you did and invite all this people from third world, asia or arabian countries - at least we are the same, european culture.

Isn’t the cost of living in Sweden supposed to be as bad as here?

Ken.

Yes, it is. But you can earn much more.
