having been in patras and had similar I don’t think its out of order.
I asked the guy to get out from under my trailer several times in the end I had to lower the suspension onto his leg, barbaric maybe but was I willing to risk being locked up and away from my family or fined x amount due to this person who knew the risks? no and I would do it again if I had to.
this is the trouble these people may well flee a horrible place and I have utmost sympathy for anything like this but stop at the first safe country not try to get to where you think you will get the most for free.

Cant say I blame them. They don’t want to be in France and the French don’t want them in France. From the French point of view, not catching them is a win/win situation. There is no incentive for the French to secure the borders to prevent a breach from the inside. They know the only go into France to pass through so why would they want to stop them?

To be fair the ‘issues’ in the Middle East had been going on long before we got involved in GW’s 1 and 2.IE Arabs v Israelis,Iraq v Iran,Iraq v Kuwait etc etc.But yes you’re right Bush should have let Iraq get Kuwait and Saudi in which case there would have been no GW 2.In just the same way that we backed the wrong side in WW1.Bearing in mind that it is more likely that Bush took out Saddam, over an alleged personal threat to the Bush family by Saddam in revenge for GW1,than the idea that Iraq was going to take us out with WMD’s.

How do you know that
A- This man was Iraqi?
B - That his house was “oblitirated”?
C - That he is coming here to “earn a crust” and pay tax back into this country?

Answer me this. If all he wants is a better life then why does he need to pass through half a dozen other countries to try and get into this one? Whats so special about Britain?
