I'm very tempted by this

Opinions please,
I have a L200 Barbarian which I bought new nearly 2 years ago, I love it, superb vehicle.
This September, when its 2 years old I intended to buy another.

But I am very tempted by (Wildtrack) especially in this colour. I saw one this week and was stunned. Superb very high spec too.

I’ve also looked at the Hilux Intimidator, but everything is an option, it doesnt even have leather or sat nav as standard…
My worries about the Ford are; (1) its a new & unproven vehicle (2) will it hold its value like the Mitsubishi & Toyota for when I resell?
Or should I wait for a re-vamped L200 as the current shape is looking a bit old now?

So options are;
1 Another Barbarian
2 Wait for new L200
3 Toyota Intimidator
4 Ford Wildtrack

There’s a guy round the corner who has a new ford wildtrack. I’ll try and have a looksee and ask some questions.

Have a look at the Isuzu, comes with everything, a lot cheaper, and looks so much better thn the others

Silverback
3 Feathers Haulage

i like the wildtrak great motor but i would get the hilux simply for the resale value

Thats really my dilema. The Wildtrack is the best equipped, most highly spec’d & (IMO) the best looker, but can it hold its value like the Toyota & Mitsubishi ?
The previous Ford Rangers were worthless second hand, but the old model was total crap ! Maybe this new model will hold its value, its certainly popular as there is a 3 month waiting list . Everything about it is new, including the 3.2 engine, so its all unproven, we dont know what it will be like in a few years.

What are you going to use a pickup truck for? If you intend to use it on purpose, nothing’s better than Toyota. Mitsubishi and Ford pickup trucks for the European market are built in Thailand. Guess what’s the quality like. Only Mitsubishi has permanent 4wd, so it’s more safe unloaded. Isuzu engines die frequently. Nissan has a French diesel engine. I think the French should stop making cars and stick to what they do best! Thant’s what they call “love”, and we call a “■■■■■■■”. If you don’t really need a pickup truck, get a Toyota Land Cruiser, I mean if you only need it for pulling a trailer.

I’m sure they’re all perfectly good vehicles but I would on principle never buy anything called a “Barbarian” or “Intimidator”. Where do they get these utterly ridiculous names from?

The name Bill Bailey came up with was ‘Superthunderpatrolmeister’

Want one!

i would still get the hilux relaible better aftersale care and resale value
