I’ve never had an accident. Never fallen asleep at the wheel, never put anyone in danger, and never obeyed the rules.Conor will be going mental with that comment lol
Not really. Unlike him I’ve never been in prison nor so desperate for a job I’d accept £500 a week for max hours and 7 nights out.
He only thinks he’s not put anyone in danger in his own mind. I suspect some of those on the road around him had different opinions.

I bet Conor isn’t whiter than white either, just an assumption.
Done the odd 5-10 minutes to get back to the yard on a Friday but only usually because I’ve been held up - I don’t work for companies that run you to the wire.
Never ever even dreamed of asking an employer whether they wanted me to run legal or not.
Still, given limeyphil is a criminal with no respect for the law it comes as no surprise he did.
truckyboy:
Go for it Phil if it takes your fancy, running around europe is far better than running around the uk, ok the money may be better in the uk, but theres a much better feeling of de ja vue
£500 in the bank is not a bad wage, if you add on NI, Tax, that has to equate to around £650-£700 which most drivers on here do not earn, so i would guess the employer is taking carev of the deduction side of things
Its ridiculous. At least £100 of that is night out money which is tax free so effectively its actually less than £400 take home money for max hours which is £24,000 a year before stoppages, barely more than national minimum wage with no overtime rate. I was earning more than that ten years ago and I was home every day.
Plenty of drivers earn £700 a week including night out money for less hours than he’ll be doing and they’ll be home every weekend.

I have very little respect for the law either as its poorly enforced and its only silly offences that are actually botherd about.as i said im more concerned about the drivers who think its ok to have any amount of booze then drive.im not botherd about the guy who is putting a few quid extra in the family bank account.

It amuses me when drivers come out with stuff like " I don’t drive at 40 on an A road because I don’t agree with it" or " I smoke in a shared motor even though it ■■■■■■ off my other driver because I don’t agree with it" or “I just disregard driving hours as I don’t agree with it”
It does not matter a ■■■■ if you me or Joe Bloggs agree with it or not, it’s the law, and unless you me and Joe are above the law we have to obey it, not because you strive to be a perfect model citizen or something… but because you can guarantee the ■■■■■■■ s will fine the arse off you if you don’t .
I’m not sure if your example is valid as I do think that the drivers you refer too are in a very small minority anyway, and drink driving is at the top end of the serious offence list, it’s a bit like saying
I don’t mind illegal parkers it’s the murderers I’m concerned about.
Conor won’t be posting for a while unless he takes his pills. He’s bound to be smashing up his keyboard.
He seems to be a very excitable chap. Where’as i’m very calm and placid.
If he has the same driving manner as his keyboard manner, Then i’m sure i’m the better driver.
You can guarantee some idiots will still work for [zb] all.
Quote from ‘phil’ in another thread!Yes the money’s too low for what he reckons the work will be?All this ‘lifestyle’ and call of the road guff sounds good but pounds in the bank and time, that you can freely dispose of,not be looking after some one else’s goods is what counts to me,then you can do what you want?
Robroy just to clear things up as i may have mislead you.i do not speed, hence the name nearly there and dont smoke. Also not use a mobile phone etc.i may have no respect for the law but do obey the rules of the rich.i believe the driving revs are outdated and only enforced as its easy revenue for vosa.limeys dodgey driving days are in the past,so why hold it against him, aswell as his smuggling days.in the grand scale of things i think the guy has been ok.lets worry about the mps taking what they like and the beasts and killers roaming the streets
