£500 in bank, nights out on top right?.. I would think it is, but just curious.
No. That’s it. 500 in the bank, 52 weeks a year.

Hang on, are we talking about maxing hours and getting £500 per week! Here I was thinking the europeans were cheap, must be the uk-euro drivers too
.
Limeyphil is borderline unemployable both from a criminal and driving record point of view so it comes as no surprise he was offered £500 for max hrs and 5 nights out a week. Probably recognise a desperate person knocking on the doors of the last chance saloon.

You don’t know me. I’ve never met you. You will never meet me.
I love running bent:)

So do I. I’ve never been paid to do the job legally, so I had to check what a legal wage is.

Slow down guys my popcorn aint ready yet
Sounds pretty poor to me.
But then again I think the bunk is for my jacket and sarnies…
I think you need to be in it for the job and not be bothered about the money to work for that. I take the view that the less I have to do for the most cash, the happier I am.
Each to their own of course.
If you fancy 100+ drops a day we need drivers at UPS, 45-50 hours is £500 take home a week
Although by the sounds of it they might question your past

So if you count a n/o at say £25 that’s £375 to £400 a week. It don’t sound too great especially if you are maxing out, and low loader work isn’t exactly the easiest type of work.

It aint like you to sit on the fence like that, say what you really mean.
I’m on reefers doing 5 days one week and 6 the next. UK only work at my depot, we get 115 a shift in the week and 125 a shift for Saturdays. Usually doing around 75 hrs a week on a 6 day week, we’re always near the average 48. My take home with 2 nights out for 5 days is 500 and a few pence. For my 6 days and 3 nights out it’s £600.
If your 2nd week is going to be easy, and not hrs of POA but time to yourself, if I can afford it I’d do it!

I agree but it’s what you come to expect from “some” people … especially the one that posted it!

I didn’t mean maxing out working time, Just driving time. You probably knew that, But i thought i’d mention it anyway.
If its what you want to do, then do it.
It sounds a poor wage to me:
5 nights out at £20 leaves you with £400, to clear this you need to make £500 before tax. So if you’re maxing your hours out on week one, lets say 56 hours driving and 20 hours other/break/poa, so 76 hours week one. Week 2, 34 hours driving and for ease lets say 16 hours other/break/poa. So that’s 126 hours a fortnight, that’s a hourly equivalent of £7.93 ph straight through. I’ve worked for less, but wouldn’t anymore.
You seem to know what you’re on about and have been round the block a few times, experience like yours should get a premium in my opinion.
