I was rang up last Wednesday andvtold to return to my depot Thursday and work out of there for the rest of the week on my normal shift time on days/ evenings until ( sat ) and then start the following tues at 4 a.m away tramping ,I asked what work that would be on and was told it could be anything bar flat bed work as that was being phased in .
When I finished my shift sat I asked the t.o bod if I was still going tramping next week ,he Confirmed this .
So today I get a phone call the night before I go away ( all gear packed up ) from t.o bod saying the manager had recieved a e- mail from the t.o bod who was in on Saturday saying I’d told him I was going tramping ( why he would email him when he sits 3 ft away I don’t no) and the boss had asked for him to ring me sort out the confusion ( this was the t.o bod who rang me last wed telling me to return to my depot then start tramping this week 
) ,
Apparently I’d got confused ( even though he and sat t.o bod had told me I was going tramping ) and I was in actual fact going to work days until a new truck arrived for me to use ( given fleet number sat and it was sat in yard ) ,also as I hadn’t done the revelant flat bed training I couldn’t do the job until I’d done that traing ( he told me on wed I was doing anything bar flat bed work .
So I’ve brought a £350 truck sat nav ,3o per month for a ee wifi thing so I can use iPad ,£25 per month on a new phone ,few new a-z,s ,brushes ,Polish ,dusters etc etc etc etc .
All because I thought 2 people told me I was going tramping when apparently they didn’t ,I even looked at my new truck and apparently it’s not even arrived 
Seems the mrs is right when she says you haven’t listened to a bloody thing I’ve told you ,I need to lie down
