So I set off Sunday morning on a job (I pump turds) quite a way from home clearing one pumping station travelling 1 1/2 miles and emptying into another, back and forth, job done, well and truly run out of hours, no sleeper (who would really want one) I’m sat on a bed in nowhere in particular the usual white linen, had a curry and 2 beers, am now 3 hours into my 9, bored not tired, watching music vid’s on you tube, alarm on for 5.30 day driver due in at 8 and its 2.45 drive oops me thinks i’ll be late, (I hate taco hours, I’ve driven all of 3 1/2 hours all day)

To muck spreader or Ringfur, have you had any horror stories of the hoses bursting etc! That would be my worse nightmare. Even chemical toilets make me gag.
I am the boss Yes, the lads get treated the same way if they get stuck out somewhere, hotel plus meal & 2 drinks plus £30
We are on domestic hours and sometimes on log book, sometimes tacho, we have to run to South Wales on one job, this particular job was in the West Midlands, I had done more than enough hours to even think about driving.
Muck doesn’t smell as you’d expect it too once its sat for a while the smell changes, getting covered in it makes you pay more attention in the future, over 10 years since I had a head 2 toe.
It’s a better job than most people think it is, get in the cab with dirty boots I reckon you won’t last 2 weeks on the job, be ana* (sorry about the pun) about being clean & tidy and the jobs more than ok
