Ilse of wight ferries,no english breakfast

This was on the wightlink. What about the red funnel. Can you get a full english breakfast on that?
I always seem to get hungry on a boat.

yes you can get a full English on the freight only ferry,‘Red Kestrel’,i was on it a few weeks ago…not sure about the other RF boats.
i’m usually booked on with Wightlink, but as they refuse cash,i don’t bother buying anything on board.

Last time I used Red Funnel you could get a breakfast upto around 11:30 then it changed to pasty/fish & chip menu also get a 50% off voucher for freight drivers

Ffs don’t tell Dopey about this ferry, as he’ll be looking for the Duty free shop. He got confused as it is trying to find the duty free shop on the Woolworth ferry

The annoying thing was, they had 3 or 4 people just standing around waiting to serve overpriced coffees. One of those good have served a brrakfast
They had them toasties, not much good though

Jeez. By the time you get upstairs and use the facilities its nearly time to go back down, its only 40mins from Pompey.
Wait til you get the boat in the summer, Thousands of screaming kids running about everywhere, pensioners dawdling up and down the stairs, you really wouldnt get time for brekkie anyhow, lucky to get a coffee in the summer with the queues.

Thats if you actually get the boat you are booked on, we have a 2 standing bookings, 1 ambient 1 fridge, 7 days a week 363 days a year (no xmas day or easter sunday) and usually an overspill ambient load at least 3 times a week if not more going over too. Not uncommon to be bumped to the next one if its really busy, cars seem to be priority even over regular users :unamused:

Yes,good point.I like boats but it can be a bit of a stress

My only experience of IoW was with Virginia, they had 6 loads of concrete to send to a building site. So assuming Cowes was just like Holyhead and they could drop and ship trailers and leave in port till needed they sent me over to stay over there. I got back to pick up second trailer to port staff about to explode with rage after our trailers blocked entire port up
