Illegal car parker in my allocated parking space

Some driver decided to leave his/her car in the space allocated for the flats, the spaces have numbers on for each resident. For a weekend the car was there,we left notes on it to move it.The owner of the property said it was not their problem, even though £400 per year is paid to them to manage the flats and area around it,and the parking. The Police said it was a civil matter, and advise the use of a solictor,as the car had a valid road tax,and could park where he/she wanted. If we touched the car,to tow or push it,we would get done for any damage and possibly taking without consent.(TWOC.)It seems it is ok to park in anyones private place, outside your house or on your front drive, without any consequences or legal address to the matter.Has the boxer,Chris Eubanks got nicked for TWOCing by moving a beer lorry that had the keys in it,as it blocked his route,on way to dropping his kids to school,in Sussex, the beer lorry was only moved a few metres to clear a path for congested traffic,so how he got done for a theft charge.?

just park across the front of it, then when they want you to move your car, they have to come and ask, then you can tell them not to park there again

when i lived in southampton i used to live in of these purpose built flats with their own spaces and it is bloody annoying when someone parks in your space…

first i would rip off their number plate and replace it with a cardboard one.

second i would find which flat it is and turn off their fridge.

no really i would just tow it down the road and then park in my space.

my friend i visit lives in a flat like this and i always park out on the road so i dont use anybodys space by mistake.

Phone the local Motorway services and get the number that they use for clamping people. Surely if your paying for “Private” parking then its your landlords duty and/or someones duty to get that car removed. So does that mean the likes of Buckingham Palace etc that PRIVATE land you can just Waltz on in into there grounds?

Police say it is a civil matter for a solicitor.Landlord did not want to help,we would have to pay up to tow the old banger out of the slot.Could haave open the window and tip sour milk on the seats, now, that smell NEVER goes, and you can not ever sell the car.LOL. :imp:

It is entirely civil.

Its the same situation as a shared driveway. The only person who can do anything about it is the one who has the right of benefit. It will say this in your flats papers (own or rent?)

Buy a clamp and clamp his car, then charge him to get it removed :grimacing:

I am in no way condoning what a guy told me in the pub the other week which was supposedly done by his mate BIG TAM’s wee sister boyfriend but he reckoned if you get EXPANDING foam (What plumbers use & usually come with long nozzles) and stick that up his exhaust as far as you can and just hit the squirt button, few hours and it will go rock hard. Im sure you can guess the rest as to what would/will happen when the back pressure builds up… :smiling_imp:
