Has anyone had the pleasure of being paid by Igloo, Warrington? I have been s/e there for a month now but have problems every week. The reasons for non-payment have been, change of wage programme/change of wage clerk/Hermes error etc. Then there have been outright lies such as “They have been transferred already”, “They will be in your account before the end of the day” etc. I am out of there after Christmas! In the meantime, does anyone have any advice on how to get my wages off these cowboys?
find another job fella …take a week off and by the time your money catches up you’ll be sorted
When you leave an agency i find it pays to keep any tachos or print outs back for a while till you’ve got your money, encourages them to sort things out a bit.

or keep the truck trailer
and goods too!
speeds them up lots!
then tell them you’ve snail mailed the keys
Just an update on my situation… I sent an email to the CEO of Igloo complaining about not getting paid. An hour later my wages went into my bank, then I received a phone call from the Manager telling me that I had been paid but they would not be offering me any more work because I had complained! What a shower of ####'s they are! Anyway… then I emailed the CEO of Hermes to name and shame them! A change of agency is needed there I think!
Well done for getting your money and your email Hermes, Like others have said take an early break leave agency work they all lie and pass info about bit of a click mate, Do ya best to find a real job even if it a bit less than you get on agency, Agency are for pocket money when your retired and for new starts to get a feel for the job.
Good luck in search mate.
I slapped a £15 a day late payment surcharge on my invoices. Don’t know how legal it is but it seems to work. [WINKING FACE]
having seen some of the inbreeds that have delivered on behalf of hermes to us recently i doubt igloo will be doing much business in future.
