What would you change and enforce?
70mph on motorway, 60 dual c/w and 50 s/c for hgv, 45 min breaks can be split in to 3 x 15 min break for both 45 min breaks. Anyone who drives a rover with a hat on the parcel shelf and wears old man gloves can legally be run over or rammed off road with no penalty.
And Watford Gap services should be knocked down and started again. Doubt anyone will believe me, but stayed there thursday night and went to use showers and someone had sh!it in them. Maybe it’s a continetal thing

Think I’d keep SC to 40 but DC would deffinately be 60.

Scrap the cpc.
Bring in a rule that any cyclist who is in an accident on a road when there is a perfectly good cycle path right next to it automatically at fault and has to pay any insurance costs. And if they karked it the costs fall to their family for raising a muppet.

Scrap all tolls on bridges and roads.Up the speed limiter to 60 mph.Make max speed limit on single carriageway to 50 mph and 60 on dual carriage way and motorways for LGV’s.
Make provision for better facilities for LGV parking and Truck-stops all over the UK for rest periods etc,with proper security.
Announce road improvement schemes throughout the UK.
Then go home and see what I could do for the Missus.

Firstly, Id sort out all the reg bottlenecks we have to encounter. We all know where they are so not much point listing them here. I would then promote a NEW transport minister… One from amongst this family. Get rid of the S/C 40mph and ban vehicles which do less than 50mph on a motorway - except Ab loads etc. Introduce for every driver of HGV or Ag tractor a free "ram " a week! That should eliminate some of the riff raff that polute our highways. Ban Cyclists from dual carriageways on safety grounds, and turn off 90% of the traffic lights at night - between the hours of say 0000 and 0530 - would save the Planet, £’s and sanity of those of us who get stuck at lights when there is literally noone else about.
Thats a lot to be getting on with… So a vote for me is a vote for sense!
