If you want to pass cpc mod 2 click!

hi all i have been looking through the forum lately and seen a few people have failed cpc mod 2. peoples reasons are mainly down to saying that the info is not on the theory practice disk. which i partly have to agree with it is in there to some extent but not in great detail.
i was really really worried for my mod 2 because it seems like trying to learn for the unknown with nothing really official giving you the answers. so i have put this thread together to give you a pretty solid way to pass aslong as you take the time to learn.

So here goes and this is what i did and i got 48/50 if i remember right

  1. firstly make full use of your theory disk. honestly a lot of the answers are in there if not all. learn it off by heart from start to finish top to bottom.
  2. buy yourself the guide to driving large goods vehicles (one with the red truck on the front) best way to get one of these firstly is to ask your local library if they have one.mine had them but they were all loaned out the the prison for some reason lol. if not go onto amazon and look through the used ones i picked mine up for 2 quid including delivery, and again read it cover to cover.
  3. 3rd but most importantly for me was signing up to the website drivingtheory4all.co.uk it costs £18 for 60 days access. this site was an absolute godsend for me. firstly it has all the relevant info you will need to pass CPC there are around 9 sections covering absolutely everything and very in depth (not over the top that you would forget) for example on your theory disk it will tell you to distribute the load evenly etc. but this site tells you the actual maths equation of what % of your load to put over the rear axle. which is definitely in the test because i had it. it also goes into depth about GB hours EU rules how many hours you can be on duty -CMR working abroad … honestly absolutely every question you could get asked is in there. once you have completed the learning side of thing its moves you onto stage 2 which is to challenge your knowledge and see what you have learnt. it gives you around 60 practice case studies which are worded and set out like the real test. not the exact question but everything is in there.

and there are my tips for passing CPC MOD 2. i hope this will be helpful for people. if so let me know but i would like it if admin decides this is useful to make it a sticky thread and put it upto the top because i know it is a frequently asked question on here and i know its a daunting one so thats why iv taken the time to write this  cheers all and best of luck in your trucking! journey

I used that website, used it for about an hour altogether. Got a book but never bothered reading it and that was about it.
done about 2 hours of cramming before test and managed to scrap a pass.

A lot of it is common sense. If you know what to do when I guy named Jack is not breathing on the side of the road then you should be fine. Also if you get asked what you should have for dinner don’t click on the one ‘high in saturated fats’.

seriously though, the most important things to know for this test is your driving hours and working time hours, no doubt a lot of marks get lost on them.

I also remember a question on air lines which is a bit out of place if you have no intention on doing your c+e.

yeh i found a lot of mine were C + E based too. i think the overall consensus on mod 2 is that its like going into it blindfolded as you can not memorise the exact question and answer like you can with the theory. but if you do your learning it is fairly simple. and i did not mean to advertise i have no affiliation with that website just saying i found it the best source of revision for the MOD 2 incase people are looking for some help which i know a lot seem to be

Incorrect as many have recommended the same site over that last few years

If a person who works for that site was to advertise it then that would be different
