Nah, you Scots just like a good crime scene!
Same as usual leave it as you find it.
But you know fine well with a sign like that, your gonna get a complaint made against you later on because there was a crumb left in the truck or because you didn’t spend 30mins polishing it at the end of your shift.
A few times though gone into trucks which are immaculate inside then go do your daily checks find its a wrecker, had one was mint when i got in it then found a baldy tyre on the unit. Thought to myself spend less time polishing and more time checking the mechanics of the vehicle.

With me… It’s both
you mean like this. The question is often asked, would you like it if I climbed all over your house with muddy boots on ect. Why do other drivers need to move anywhere further than the drivers seat. Please shed some light on this. Your using it for 1 shift. My bed ain’t needed for you. Did you put something in that draw/cupboard. No so why go in thereSup473:

Nice laminate pickandmix. Hopefully some might take note!!
You still enjoying working for MT mate?
Love it thanks. I noted the guy who posted this thread was from Manchester and my heart sunk. If he’s in my motor he better look after it lol.
Answer to that is, lock the cupboards i used to when i wasn’t using the truck and i never left my bedding in the truck if i wasn’t using especially if i knew fine well it was prob gonna be doing a night trunk somewhere. I took that opportunity to take the bedding home give it a wash.
I didn’t want people using my bedding, but did realise the person using it maybe end up delayed somewhere for hours on end and want to put his head down, or even get stuck out in the truck. Plus as well i’d rather come in with clean bedding than come in find ive got to sleep in some bedding that’s covered in mud or grease or worse.
I think the OP is an ex squaddie. Good chance he would look after your kit. Its a real shame that some folks cant control their big noses regarding lockers. Worse than old ladies.
Glad you are enjoying MT’s pal.
Can’t lock my lockers its a fh4

Can I ask . Are you the note leaving tramper whose cab was trashed ? or did you see the note, took offence, and contemplated doing the trashing ? If, as I suspect, it is the former, I would be seeking the other driver out !!
Regards. John.
I’m the Tramper and have to share my Truck with weekend drivers most of the time it is kept clean and sometime I need wet wipes and a bin bag, just wanted to know your reactions i.e respect or purposely ■■■■ it up. What I’ve seen on here it’s very positive so I will stick up my little sign next weekend and see how we get on Cheers Lads.
I don’t tramp but as mentioned we have our own wagon, if mine us used when I am off (mostly it’s parked up) I leave a post it note inviting the driver to help them selves to the bag of mint imperials I leave out .
Shame you need to put up a sign mate.
I’ve been lucky with mine. I’ve not taken many days off this year but the week I did take off for my Class 1 they got an agency guy. I really do wonder where they got him from because when I got back to my truck I found it completely spotless inside and out, fully fueled and even the load in the back strapped down! Only thing I got annoyed about was that he changed all my straps around.

In-Cab notices for the covering driver…
(1) Do not take objects out of my cool chest
(2) DO not lie on my bunk
(3) Take your boots off when driving. I polish those pedals!
(4) That bottle of limeade in the footwell? - LEAVE it. Do NOT take the ■■■■!
(5) Don’t plug anything into my cigarette lighter socket - I’ve hard-wired it for 24v - so it’ll blow all your car 12v crap you might think you can plug into it.
(6) Do NOT disturb my ■■■■ stash under the bunk mattress…
(7) Do NOT even LOOK for the fancy manuals in the overhead lockers. More ■■■■ will fall on your head - and some of the magazine issues still have their “free nunchuck” pinned to the front of it.
(8) DO place your hands at the “ten-to-two” position on the steering wheel. I’ve left a dollop of something under both the “10” and the “2” positions underneath the steering wheel for your manual perusal.
(9) DO lock the side lockers up tight - I don’t want my straps flailing around out back next time I try leaving the docks without checking it’s secure…
(10) Do NOT moan that I’ve left the ashtrays full of ■■■ butts - Senior Smokers will always trump johnny-come-lately moaners like yeu.
Maybe just been lucky but not seen a really trashed truck in a long time.
Worst i seen was in Christian Salvestons in Newhouse old 350 Daf, went into it and passenger footwell was up to the seat in rubbish, the drivers footwell was used as an ashtray, ■■■ ends everywhere. Touched the steering wheel and your hands where black.
I thought it must just be a spare truck but it was someones truck they used everyday.

I don’t want to tar agency drivers with the same brush because most of us have been on the agency books now and then but we do seem to attract some of the worse I ever encountered at my firm.
When my truck is used by my firms drivers it’s left fueled and clean often if a agency driver has used it, its left in don’t give a ■■■■ mode, coffee stains rubbish and muddy foot prints I leave a stack of serviettes in the cab for clean ups but these are ignored, used in a big wad and shoved in a door pocket/left on the dash or simply pocketed as did my window cleaner and a pack of wet wipes when I first started, in our R series Scania’s we have one small lockable cupboard directly above the driver in this I keep my cleaning gear locked away I noticed the other day some low life had been trying to prise up one side of the cupboard to see what they could thieve because everybody knows Trampers keep the Crown Jewels in there
Because I take everything bar cleaning gear and full bottles of water out of my truck I sometimes think other drivers think it’s just a day/night motor and not someones home hence this post.
Lets see how I get on with the signs up
I think what zonks me most is it’s band new only been on the road for 4 weeks picked it up at 37.5km, my last truck was a 560,000km 12 plate dog I expected that to be abused Hell there were places I wasn’t going to stick my hands to clean it
I’d try and leave it as I found it aslong as it’s not stupidly ott Truckfest trophy winning, with pendants and junk hanging and stuck in the window. It’d get a quick wash off if I can get on the washdown without waiting for someone else to finish, but you can FRO if you think I’m polishing fuel tank, wheels or spending aslong as you do on it.
I have seen quite a few notes left in trucks that I have driven whilst the “home owner” is away and I take the trouble to write a note back saying “No problem mate I will try to leave in the condition I found it”. I too find it sad that they have to leave these notes in the first place. I have met a lot of agency and full time drivers and although most are decent clean living people there are some who are not. By leaving a note back to the regular driver I am informing him that when I left the truck it was sound as a pound. He might be away for a week on holiday and after my shift another temp driver who is a smelly cab rat might get in? At least I have dated my note and so he knows it was not me who left his home in a state.
Wise words from old alder
Thats a very cunning plan alder.
Being a bit ballsey if I was the next driver I would take a dump on the bed and leave another note saying: “Yesterdays driver was being ironic and has left a present on your bunk”. Making sure to date it (the note that is and not my fraudulent poop).
