If you couldn't drive tommorrow, what would you do?

Imagine that you lost your licence overnight, for whatever reason, medical, legal, whatever.

Imagine if you had to phone in Monday morning and explain to your boss that you just cannot get back behind the wheel.

What would you do?

Go back to bed

Same as that!

This is the kind of question I’ve been asking myself a lot recently.

The only suitable answer (for me) to your question that I can think of is to sell up, and move abroad. Doesn’t matter where. Anywhere.

I bet this knid of thing has and does happen…

Driver has a bad week, goes home, and has heart attack! :open_mouth: Maybe due to health - diet - other madical reasons.

May as well burn licence then…

Drive a forklift if the money is right. Failing that I would like to try and do a office job and wear a whistle every day, banter just as good but with more birds.

So far . . . we have working men, men that want to work for their keep, wanting to be dole wallah’s if/when they can no longer drive.

How many of us have given any serious thought to what we’d do if we could no longer drive?

Go to Dr get sick note go back to Dr to get referred to consultant to sort back hand & feet out as well as head might even push for op on ear see if they can do something bout that ( well have done most & found that I am dropping to bits )

Speak with idiots in the job centre office to se what funding there is & see what I can get out of them ( as I did )

Look for work see if there is anything about that I could do ( not found anything as yet )

As this did happen to me a few years back it was medical ( you can read bout it in Family & health forum if you wish )

I was being serious :open_mouth:

I could quit tomorrow on medical grounds and be a parasite but I still enjoy the job so choose to graft and manage my problems (like quite a few other decent folk on here). I’m just not the sit at home, make excuses, whine and be payed for type (unlike some less than decent bone idle [zb]s on here).

sign on.
…It’d probably be a pay rise :sunglasses:
