…its cos I aint got any!!!
Is there anyone out there who has got a set of mirrors for the below model that they wouldn’t mind sending on. I made an utter balls up of the original set, and are the only thing I need to complete the model.
It is my first and only attempt at 1:24 scale, and other than the KFS add ons, the only modification I made was to switch it from LHD to RHD. Other than that, it was pretty much a ‘straight from the box’ build.
The livery is one of a real firm back in the 70s and 80s, and no longer around…would their wagons look something like this if they were still around today I wonder■■?..this one being a contract driver with his own unit. The driver customizing the interior by having a bright blue dash fitted…maintaining the original look of their ERF C Series wagons. My only attempt at weathering was to scuff up the 5th wheel a little to give it that used look. Modeller’s licence is brill!!!
I know its a long shot with the mirrors, but other than buying a complete new kit (Doubt it at nearly 40 quid!!! ) these are the avenues I have to try.
Thanks for the complimants on the model, and its always nice to hear from people who had an association with your childhood memories. I guess, lookng at your location, your uncle drove from the Sheerness Depot?
Have alook at the below models…these are in 1:48 scale, and made from white metal kits. Again, my first and only attempt at that scale and medium. I hope they bring back some fond memories for you. Cheers mate
