I would return to driving full time and ditch the car learner drivers and just concentrate on B+E and LGV only. Justed invoiced a customer for £580 for 27 hours driving and loading, plus Travellodge and parking fees for London paid. And only driving a transit. If anyone else wants me to drive for them it’s £20 per hour because I think all professional drivers are worth it, do you agreed?
It would be nice to earn that! But are we worth that?
What’s it take to get c+e these days? 2 weeks and £2000? Let’s face it you don’t need to be clever to do this job! If we were to get £20 ph then work a 60 hour week that would £60k a year!!! What would that do to the cost of living? Supply and demand, too much supply at present, let’s see if the cpc changes things.
I though that when they sold us DCPC is was going to improve the quality of a drivers knowledge, reduce their working week and improve the rates of pay for better qualified drivers. So what’s changed for this extra expence ?
It’s worse than that Mike! A newly qualified driver with shiny Dcpc card in hand at Stobart starts off on a lower rate than the driver without one! That is the future! 
Being worth the money and being paid the rate is 2 different things. I was on £15.00 per hour twenty years ago ,dont get that rate now though.
