If Carlsberg made trucks (or if you did)

If you were on the design team (or if you left it up to carlsberg) what faults would you rectify on current trucks and what would you add as standard on future trucks?

How about thick material for insulated cab curtains for the winter, not these cheap Chinese fabric that is too thin in the cold weather.
MAN should not fit that huge ugly plastic cool box thing,it is not even a fridge, some drivers have removed them to make more space, the design is smarty ■■■,as you have many ways to close it and flap bits of lids on it,terrible and useless.
MAN curtains that fall off the end of the curtain rail, bad design, and too small curtains that do not close up together.
A radio that stays tuned in to your favourite station, and not one that the programme you are listening to goes away every ten miles while driving,i hate that.

Currently drive either a 61 plate Actros Megaspace - which I’d change only the cup holder
or a 62 plate new Actros (no idea what size it’s classed as… See pic?) which I’d change the seat and the gearbox software wants scrapping, and the throttle control seems to have gone to pot

In the new 1, I find that I can’t slow on approach to a roundabout and then continue if clear because it just won’t have a gear or the wrong gear, whereas the older Actros is always in the correct gear.
With the throttle, you either get nowt or all, it just jerks around, like the old MAN auto’s used to be, so reversing it back into the depot’s a nightmare and the other day I even scratched it - only 4 days old - on the back of a tractor unit :open_mouth:  went to edge forward and hit him.

edit also, forgot to add, drivers seat is too bouncy with no ‘spring’ adjustment, so if you’re in a comfortable seating position on the M62 between Liverpool and Manchester for example, you’ll spend 50% of the journey unable to reach the pedals due to bouncing around like a kid on their birthday

edit forgot to add pic.
