Oh Yes - they sure are !!!
had one last week on J16 M4 came up the slip rd lights were green then turned to amber as I entered the roundabout,a cyclist rode straight out in front of me,he saw my lights go to amber but never waited for his to change from red and went through them,i was doing about 20 to 25 mph, I managed to stop literally by standing on the brakes and locking up,unbelievable
And here we go again, and it’s only been a fortnight since the last outrage.
Hmmm
All psychopaths should stick to the cycle path

People don’t half whine when you drive a truck down one
Dear heliguy10,
I can understand you are upset. But, if you wanna experience less stress during work, you have to put it in a different way. I had the same in Bristol.I drove an articulated lorry. From Rupert Street I was turning to Christmas Street.Bus lane on the left.Cyclist passed me on my near side,in the bus lane, whilst I was indicating left. I kept my eyes on the bus lane, because there are lots of cyclist. I was waiting, and he went by.I wasn’t surprised.
Just few words about me,and my skills: I’m a days trucker and cyclist.
Trucking: I got 3+ years experience on C+E.
Cycling: More than 5 years racing.Cycling more than 20 years, at least 5 days a week.Commuting to work on bicycle.
I wrote there words about myself, because I can see more then just one side of the coin.
Legal “environment”: cyclist must not required to have a license to be on the road. This brings conclusion which is clear:
you can not expect anything from them. Same as pedestrians. No license,no test to pass. You have to be the smarter, and more polite.
Look cyclists like as they are dogs on two wheels. You can not expect too much from a dog, can you?
If you expect nothing, you won’t be upset when they passing you on your nearside, or when they do other crazy stunts on the road.
Mission complete.
Your day has been saved.
Cheers,
Norbert
you can train a dog though
syramax: you’re right. What about chickens?
A few months ago one came up on my blind side between my cab and a brick wall while I was reversing into a side road on the rh side. If I had not kept a check on my near side mirror (as many don’t) he would have been crushed to death. I shouted to him what I thought of him and he told me to ■■■■ off …even though I had just saved the ■■■■■■■ 's life.
felt like ripping his ■■■■ head off.
Brains kept in lycra!!!
We’ll never win

The flaw in that idea is that running over a dog with a truck doesn’t generally result in a possible charge of causing death by careless/dangerous driving and dogs have a lot more road sense than cyclists.
Saw a sticker on the back of a truck the other day “cyclists keep away from this vehicle at all times”
Says it all really - a poster likened them to dogs on wheels, well, I think of them as being like kids and we’ve gotta kind of look out for them because some of 'em really are clueless.

Yes I absolutely agree with you cyclists should pass a test to ensure their own safety.
"If you expect nothing, you won’t be upset when they passing you on your nearside, or when they do other crazy stunts on the road. "
Crazy stunts… I feel a Spoonerism coming on.
If you are following a female cyclist and are waiting for a gap in oncoming traffic to get passed safely, would admit to taking longer to over take while enjoying the view of her rear ?
You see long blonde hair , a cracking body, you get past and see you were salivating at a man then reanact the scene from Planes trains and automobiles when John Candy and Steve Martin realise they have to share a hotel bed and go in to masculine mode.
Cyclists should be banned from the roads. They are a danger to themselves and others alot have no road craft, no lights, no insurance, (if one damages your car or causes a accident how do you claim off them?).
Makes my blood boil when you are trying to get past them and there is a cycle path right next to them and they dont use it, if I used it on my motorcycle or in my car the police would quite rightly throw the book at me so why dont they get a ticket for being on the road when they should be on the cycle path?
I had a old triumph herald which broke down (as they do) as i sat waiting for the RAC to arrive I looked in my mirror and watched a lycra clad muppet head down crash straight into the rear of my car, I got out checked for damage (it was hard to tell really to be honest ) looked at him bleeding on the floor and pointed to the cycle path and told him if he had been on there he wouldnt have done that and I got back in the car. It was funny watching him hobble off pushing his bent bike.
Here is a tip that doesnt fail, when following a cyclist and you think "nice bum"or something else.look for the bra straps.
