Ideas wanted for spare space?

Hi All,

Just a shot in the dark incase somebody out there has a brainstorm & comes up with ideas for me. NOT scoob related

As many of you know, we are signmakers & have a large workshop, probably 3 times bigger than we need.

We have “spare” space approx 45’ x 15’ & very high that really should be used to earn us money !! We’re out in the sticks of Cambridgeshire but have the advantage of easy access for trucks etc, so there must be something we could do ■■? If it means spending a few bob to get it working, that’s fine but I detest paying rates on what is really empty space

thanks for any shots of inspiration

Probably should be somewhere else really, but since a) I haven’t a clue where (other than the Bar) and b) You make so many free stickers for us…it can stay here! :sunglasses: :grimacing: :grimacing:

yer just TOO kind Luce

in the run up to xmas many catalogue companies take on extra delivery staff. normally just everyday folk who own a car and have some safe/secure storage, normally a garage. your space would be ideal for parcels etc.
so if you know someone who has a car and a few spare hours or if indeed you have a few spare hours yourself you could maybe give it a go.
just a thought.

Get in touch with your local Bus anoraks, they are always looking for some where to keep their Double deckers etc.
As a lot of vintage / classic us owners tend to be drivers rather than operators there always seem to be someone looking for storage space, ( Wives tend to complain if you park a coach / bus in the front garden :unamused: :unamused: .)

:bulb:
How about storage (just winter months or even all year round ) for enthusiasts with the following :
Vintage or classic cars, vans, trucks, buses (maybe not double deckers though ! )…
Speedboats, jetski.s, mini motorbikes, scrambler bikes, go karts (all on roadgoing trailers for easy movement in the yard or inside )…
Touring caravans or even mobile shops / market stalls / snackbar mobiles that may not be in constant use…

Who it is that you target with a small classified ad. (sometimes free!) in their appropriate magazines or maybe by contacting a local club would depend on how wide the doorway is and how much headroom you have available.

Hope this helps,

how about getting in touch with local hauliers looking for space for storing pallets etc,but a fork lift might be required,or maybe they could leave one of there own in there and that way they can come and go as they please.maybe let it out for an indoor market, never know might work for you.

Caravans, motorhomes?
