Ice Road Truckers Scania

So I’m on my third day working for a very minor distribution company (8-9 people total). I’m not driving, but working in the warehouse since we don’t have our own drivers, but I’m hoping to get a job driving soon. Anyway, we had a container arrive on this. This isn’t my picture, but it looked identical to this, same plate too I think. Looked in right good nick.

Is there just the one of these, or are there a few done up like this? Driver says he’d been out in canada for a year before this.

Rare sight and just luck to see it on my third day working in this sector? :stuck_out_tongue:

That truck belongs to Kenford Reed from Southampton, it is the only one painted in that design

A friend of mine, Glenn Eaton was the regular driver of it, right up until last week, he finished working for KER and now drives a logging truck/trailer

Don’t know the driver from Canada though

As an addition, KER own the only 2 english registered Scania Longlines

I dont like it to be honest.is it used as adverisment

it is a working truck, and works hard too, usually 7 days a week with different drivers

it will have a reular driver, then a relief driver when the regular driver is on weekly rest

Definitely a working truck, had to handball a container full of loose boxes from it :stuck_out_tongue:

shuttlespanker, when you mention scania longlines, is this one of them? I don’t see much difference if it is?

No, this is a topline

The longline is a much longer cab

Do a search of scania longline in the photo forum, you will see the difference

Iam just stating my view not slatting anybody or the firm

nobody said you was mate, everybody is entitled to their own opinion

personally, i don’t like Scania’s (as a truck to drive), but, i do think they look very good with the right paint job, that does not necessarily mean full artwork either, a standard livery in a good colour scheme can look very appealing
