Actualy that makes me wonder: I see all this Ice Cream vans driving around glasgow all the time - during the day, during the night, in winter, in rain… Yet I saw someone buying something of them maybe twice, and I live here 6 years…

My friend has theory that they sell drugs, or that they are used as money washing institution…

Quite possible. I have the same theory, although when I drove one when I was 17, there were no spare drugs to sell, but I did get involved in a few incidents like on the video.

Back when I was a mere child, I was recruited as a spy by one of the local ice cream men. My job was to note down the times his rival came to my street, how many customers he got and which direction he went in when he left. This information was then passed on covertly to my employer. For my efforts I received free ice creams and bubblies. It was my first ever job.

It’s happened in every decade since the 60’s if I remember correctly! The value of Ice Cream (?) is unbelievable in most big cities and the demand is always there. Vendors will do what’s required to protect their turf!
