I work x number of hours

what is the norm when quoting the amount of hours you work, do you include unpaid breaks?

if I was at work for 10hrs each day but only get paid for 9 I’d still say I worked 50 hrs a week, even tho only getting paid for 45

just wondering as it makes a huge difference when comparing others pay.

I add my own WTD hours up, POA not recognised so not wanted and not used where i work, my hours are the hours i’m at work but not including 45 mins break per day.

Start at 4am finish at 1pm, i’ve done eight and a quarter hours.

If you get paid breaks and paid hourly thats different.

I`m paid hourly, but pretty much the same with me - no POA, whatever hours i do (driving + other work) up to 15hrs, minus 45mins break. I only consider what i get paid for to be my working hours. It is what it is.

I’m working 07:45 - 17:15 today with 30 minutes unpaid break, which I’m on at the moment, but as far as I’m concerned I’m working 9.5 hours today.

i would class it as start time to finish time in other words total time on duty.

I am the same, we dont get paid an hour break a day but if I take a 45 and no more the extra 15 minutes goes on my time sheet, but I count the breaks in my WTD hours.

I bet your boss loves you. You’re giving him 5 hours free graft a week on top of your unpaid breaks.

POA is not recognised where I work so it’s either working time or rest. As we run to schedules we have a set amount of hours for that duty but we do not get paid breaks. I’d class my hours as my working day minus the duration of my breaks.

Sorry, you’ve lost me. How do you work that out? I’ve only worked those hours yesterday and today. The rest of the week was Monday 2 hours 15 minutes, Tuesday 1 hour, Wednesday 3 hours, Thursday 2 hours 15 minutes and Friday 5 hours.

Well it doesn’t make sense now that you’ve edited your post does it.
Assuming you worked the same 5 days a week you said you were doing 8.5 hours when you were doing 9.5

I very rarely do the same hours on any two days in a week, and I usually work on 6 days each week so seven this week is not the norm.

In the day
I would use home to home so when on agency
I could factor the travelling in
