Hi need a little advice…
I went over my driving time yesterday by 10mins. Doh! (4hr 40mins) then had 45min break. This is first time i’ve done this. Should i be worried at all? i.e. fine
Obviously not going to make this a habit.

you need to do this really at the time mind not at a later date or time in the day or at the end of the shift
As long as there is good reason then you’ll be fine,I once did 6hr12 driving before a break whilst going from Newton to Aberystwyth when it was snowing,the plough had been through and cleared the road but filled all the lay-bys in the process of deep snow hence why I couldn’t stop anywhere at all!
Can i take my 15 break and 30 before the 4 half hours driving? And has my 2nd break to be full 45?. I wont do full 9hrs or 10 driving in a day. Ill start at 7 in morning have 3 drops of plumbing supplys. 2 in the same street. And one not far. Then ill go back base. Then go back out and collect there scrap copper rubbish etc. Soon as im done im home. 1pm 2pm 3pm. What ever

You can have a driving break any time you like as long as you’ve done some driving, if you drive for a minute then have a 15 minute break it will count as the first part of a split driving break.
The 4½ hours driving before having a 45 minute break is a maximum of 4½ hours, in reality you often won’t have done close to 4½ hours driving before having the break.
Once you’ve reset the driving time by having a 45 minute break you can drive for a maximum of 4½ hours before needing another 45 minute break, if a second break is required to reset the driving time it must be a 45 minute break or a split 45 minute break, not one minute less
