If car drivers try to overtake lorries on the nearside on motorways then I can see this being a problem equal to LHD lorries sideswiping cars in the middle lane. Thing is you cant overtake on the nearside (although some do and cause smashes) so its much less of a problem.

All this talk of the difference between LHD and RHD is hogwash. The problem is crap drivers and crap driving and not been aware of your surroundings. Whether that be some ugly mother who hides away behind his tasseled velvet curtains and indian dream catchers or whether its a nother driver or a nother driver with 3 open stolen laptops or dvd player/TV on his dashboard. If you dont look in the mirrors or signal then eventually you will hit something
You have to give car drivers the benefit of the doubt because they are in their own little world …
Its hardly rocket science.
Hallelujah, or however you spell it
In a RHD you are still only using you’re mirrors to move lanes, especially if you’re in the ‘frilly curtains across the window gang’ it’s down to not paying attention that causes accidents, simple as that, traffic volumes in this country don’t help but as I’ve said repeatedly the ‘old’ Europeans never used to wipe cars out with such frequency, so THE ONLY LOGICAL CONCLUSION can be that the standard of driving from our Eastern European cousins is poorer than those of the Western Europeans
This isnt anti Pole or anti anything except against the poor driving standards on todays roads.
Absolutely spot on !! (now)
