She should have been jailed. No excuses. No time for drink driving whatever the reason.
Court transcript :
“Have pity, your honour - my client (uncontrollable sobbing bang on cue) is dealing with a traumatic relationship failure and is facing up to these adversities of life with almost superhuman dignity and strength of character. That is the justifiable reason why she got in her car when ■■■■■■ up, and drove the wrong way down the motorway. Her friends and family all attest to the fact that she is the most wonderful person to ever have walked the earth, and that is why you should let her off lightly for this trivial motoring infringement. After all, it`s not as if anyone was hurt, is it?”
Judge : Sounds fair enough to me. Next!
Disgraceful… I was sitting at the front of a queue on the M8 a few years ago, guy drove the wrong way up the motorway, was serious injuries and a fatality, that could have easily have happened there. Tougher punishment if you drive 04:33 with out a break
