I got to know one of their drivers in 1969,we stayed in the same digs on London Road Carlisle, and both parked in BRS Parcels yard.It was the first time I tasted beer from a state-owned brewery in a big boozer (Red Lion ?) in the town.We met on the thursday going north and the friday coming south, same digs. Can’t remember his name, but a good night on the friday as we only had to run home on saturday.
