I use something similar to that to charge my Ipod and my Iphone , i also use it to charge my mifi dongle thingy and it works fine .
I dont have an Ipad though so i cant help with that , ipod /iphone are more or less the same as ipad but ive no idea if they charge the same .
I have a few USB chargers I take with me and not one charged my iPad but all charge my iPod and iPhone, can’t really help as I haven’t been able able to charge my iPad in the cab yet, sorry
U need a 2 amp for iPad. I got one off eBay £3. Don’t get twin outlet rated at 2 amp as these won’t work as each outlet is only 1 amp. Hope this helps
I use a 300w inverter with a four way extension socket works a treat.
Yes they do I use exactly the same one for mine,
Yep works good with mine…
Yes will charge no problem, it will charge from a computer USB connection which is 0.5 amp. The only thing what he doesn’t do is charging while you use it at the same time.

I have used the 2 amp adapters from eBay for a while to charge smart phone and iPad. Only thing I have found is that the cheap ones don’t tend to last long before blowing. I ended up buying a more expensive adapter which is proving to last a lot longer. Anything under 2amp isn’t worth having.

What you need is one of these.

Well known brand, good quality and all for not much more than the cheapies.
I’ve had one for well over a year now and it gives no problems what so ever. It wil charge an iPad through the 2amp USB and everything else throuh the 1A USB or the ■■■ lighter socket on top It seems to have some inbuilt protections against overloading it too. I once tried powering my 12v laptop supply through the faglighter bit at the top but it cutout. Still works perfectly with lower rated chargers.
Cheers

I have one of these, whilst i don’t have an Ipad i charge my HTC flyer on it every day with no problems as well as my phone.
My IPad won’t charge from a USB socket, it charges my iPhone and iPod easily !
I charge the iPad from an inverter and the mains charger

It looks like it, if you switch it on, it will tell you “no charge” if you leave it switched off, you will noticed that there has been a charge.
I charge mine in emergency (when i forgot a charger) from the USB socket of my labtop, or from a USB connection from the TV in a hotel room, takes around 8 hours from 12% to 100% that way (I-pad 1 the Dinosuar )
they sell usb cig connecters fromt he pound shops… it says both 12/24 on em… but just use 12
And there was me thinking I was asking a daft question!!!
Thank you very much.
