… just a thought.
I take it you are a new driver who has recently passed a driving test and been taught to drive the proper way so…
Why oh why do you want to spoil it all by getting an idiot handle

but, don’t bother with the wheel knob - they’re a waste of time and very good for breaking your thumb

OR your wrist - they are only good for tight yard work but not on the road - I always removed them if one was fitted to a lorry that I was to drive - just try feeding the wheel with one of them things on - not safe IMO

The timer you can pick up from Fenwick in Newcastle probably cheaper than a truck-stop or several other place that supply kitchen accessories
Also a good book shop ie Waterstones in Newcastle you will be able to pick up a good road atlas have a look to see which one you prefer
Hope that is close enough for you sorry cant really help with Durham or Sunderland or you could go to the Metro Centre there is also Borders at Team Valley retail park

Glad to see that you’ve decided aginst the knob mate.
I agree with everbody who has posted advising you against them.
I had trouble finding a decent truckers atlas, had to get WH Smith to order one in for me specially.
They are widely available, just not where I was looking!
Best of luck with the test but before you get too carried away,
read THIS THREAD and there have been a few other similar ones over the years if you search back.
One for “Diesel dave” With ADR regs etc. is it legal for a driver to take out on the public roads an ADR / Haz load if he / she is not qualified to ADR/ Haz, but has a second man / attendant with them who is qualified
I was always under the impression that “The driver” is the person responsible for the load and the vehicle so the driver should be the one who must be qualified to the required ADR / Haz standard and not the “Attendant / second man”.
There are plenty of decent book shops around that have atlas you could also try LD Mountain Centre on Dean st Newcastle
Maplins in Newcastle or Metro Centre may have your inverter that you want
Hop this helps

One for “Diesel dave”
There is a dedicated thread for direct questions to Dave.
The purpose being that 1. It means he doesn’t have to read everything. and 2. He’s not answering the same question multiple times and, I have a feeling that this question has already been answered.
copy n paste this into ebays search…I got one of these
All Ride 24v to 12v 8amp converter dropper truck lorry
Good luck with your test
