i need advice

Hello,i need some advice,i hope i have blagged myself a job here in spain at last, but its fridge work i have never done fridges so any advice would be helpful thank you

Do not park up next to me with your fridge running. And make sure you fill up the belly tank.

Get used to going without sleep

Have you heard of the ‘Grandfather Clock Syndrome’■■ It is usually a fault made by people new to dog training but can work to your benefit when running a fridge!

Grandfather Clock Syndrome = when you first walk into a room that has one of the big old fashioned Grandfather clocks, all you can hear for the first 30 mins or so is the ‘tick tock, tick tock’ and it sounds so loud; it puts you off during normal conversation and is so annoying if your trying to read a book, watch TV etc etc. A few hours later and without realising, you don’t hear that ‘tick tock’ anymore!! Your brain has become acustomed to the sound and doesn’t register it in your subconscious.

Well, it’s like that with the fridge. When the motor kicks in you won’t really notice it as you’ve become accustomed to it; the problem is however, everyone else around you isn’t used to it and won’t be very happy!! I actually used to sleep better when I was doing fridges - the fridge drowned out other sounds that might have otherwise woken me but I didn’t notice the fridge.

BTW, if your dog keeps ignoring you, think of the GCS; it’s probably switched off to your voice after too many unenforced commands.  :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Should be straight forward enough they are not hard. The fridge will almost certainly be a Thermoking or Carrier, but the controls are similar. Open the front doors and check oil and coolant now and then. The fuel tank when full could last up to a week. It will almost certainly be a modern version with push button controls, but if its the older version with switches, they can vary, with them you have to use the glow plug switch 10 - 15 secs then whilst still holding that up - hold up the start switch too. When stopping the engine -DO NOT use the switch to change over from Engine to Electrics button. Obviously you have to set the temp of fridge running and whether to have it on continuous or stop start.

And open the back doors before backing onto a loading dock
