I work on builders merchant deliveries with a HIAB crane & the Boss man has promised to finally solve one of the major problems I face when delivering materials . . . How to get the load exactly where the customer wants it .
On Monday I’ll be trained up to use a brand new attachment to replace the brick grab. It’s made by a German Co’ called L.E. Kopter & I’m told it will fit inside the locker where I normally store the straps that I will no longer need.
Boss man reckons it can extend the reach of my HIAB to include back gardens!
I can’t wait for the next time one of those builders with a ‘funny’ accent points to some place 3/4 mls away from where I can park the lorry.
On Palletforce we deliver bricks with nothing but a tail lift and a pallet truck. Householder would look at me (grey hair, grey beard) and the truck, and then ask if I could get a tonne of bricks up a steep slope and across his dug-up drive.
I just got them to sign the POD and leave them on the road.
I can vouch for this device, you have a very understanding boss.Herr Kopter
and his revolutionary machine have done wonders.Might be slightly trickier to control than a HIAB though

Oh I don’t know. I’ve been reading the manual & it’s only got 2x levers, although they do seem to be a bit multi-functional.
Got to be better than pulling the slew lever when the customer’s unhooking the bag & whacking them on the head.
just be careful of the idiots using it, last time i had an experience in a L.E. Kopter, the ice cream boys operating it dropped us a few hundred km’s at the wrong grid in the omani desert
