I just missed death by 5 cm

Orys its happenned, don’t beat yourself up too much about it. We all know that in reality when a vehicle is stopped in a live lane its often very difficult to judge that it is indeed stopped & not moving slowly. Yes, he was a numpty for allowing it to stop there, but then again
maybe he was stopped in queueing traffic when it stopped & so had no momentum to get onto the shoulder.
I see many, many cars on m/way hard shoulders at night with hazards on & no lights. :open_mouth:

Just one point, in your post above you used the word “assume”.
When driving, you should never assume anything.
