Please refrain from calling me a ■■■■ too, there is no need and no call for it.
Sorry it’ll never happen, I’m one of the old school where a spade is a spade and if you act like a ■■■■ I’m certainly going to call you one, either that or cupcake, your choice
For what it’s worth, I too think UKt is a ■■■■! Oh, and I’m still waiting to hear your explanation of how you took the photo of yourself wearing the orange jacket, which you conveniently have forgotten to explain… ■■■■!

And I’m still waiting on how this disbelieving ■■■■ wants me to send him proof of my residency here in France
Your right about pierrot being a troll, I think he really believes he lives in France. Worst of all I think some people actually believe it too.

Wow only 6 posts and one of them is being insulting in such away that makes you so obvious. You work it out for yourself how I had a picture taken with me in it Einstein.

You just insult people all of the time, you don’t really have anything else to give. Your only pleasure from your obvious torment in real life is by simply trying to insult people and try to impress them, sorry to burst your bubble but you don’t impress me nor remotely bother me in the least. Couldn’t care less where you live tbh, so long as it is far away from me you boring weasel.

I never had the pleasure of either a F12, or 16s.
I had an F7 (cracking little motor) and briefly an F10 when they first came out.
If what Luke says is true, they must have been one hell of a motor if better than a V8 143 450, as they could pull like hell, and just keep holding on while climbing.
The 4 series was not a patch on the 3.
Christ…I’m sounding like a real trucker here.
I had an 85 F10 Rob (C23 AVG) it pulled pretty well but the EDC version brought out in 1990 with 320hp was a vast improvement in torque. My old F12 400 EDc was one of my favourites, i blew it up in the end but pulled like a train. The F16 470 was a real monster on the hills with just one split down change fully freighted on most long gradients, it would leave most things for dead. I only drove a 143 twice and was comparable to the 16 re torque but the Volvos were always the best driving/ comfortable i found.
As for the F7, although under powered, i agree it was a great truck in its time…
switchlogic:
I hate to break it to you but there really is nothing rare about a 143. Of all the classics those bloody things are the most common to point where some truck shows have become a dull parade of 143’s. And yes, lots of them still work, as (apparently) you’ve found out. You have my deepest sympathies if you have to drive one of them every day…
If I had the choice of a brand new Volvo like you had loaned, then the choice would be obvious which one I would choose. However as I normally drive harry average type wagons, this one is special to me. I love the pulling power of it, the whole truck has had a fortune spent on it, it looks, drives and sounds absolutely great. I enjoy driving it and am getting used to the gearbox now so isn’t really a chore to drive. It is a 3 over 3 with a splitter for each gear which as you will know gives a 12 speed. Not every ones cup of tea, but I am enjoying it.

I came off a SedAtk 400 day cab (tramping) with a 220 ■■■■■■■ in it. I worked for National Carriers and they got me this F7 on a V reg (1980) on long term hire from Tait’s vehicle hire at Darlington.
It was like comparing a Ford Cortina with a latest top range Mondeo,…and it had a proper bunk.
I loved that little truck.
