I had offered a job and I will go for it

Scotland - Italy

  • Long term contract :unamused:
  • 18 tonners :exclamation:
  • brand new vehicles with big cabs :sunglasses:
  • weekends (or other two days in the week) at home :sunglasses:
  • some additional days off every third week :sunglasses:
  • on the way back loads to various places by the way or running empty (so not boring or easy run). :sunglasses:
  • doublemanned
? 450 per trip (estimated 5 days)

What do you think: 450 is + or - ?

Job is as I told in other topic, for express and special care transport company… That’s good place to look for euro rigid work.

seems ok go for it and tells us how you get on.

good luck.

Sounds good Orys,

Only reason I wouldn’t take something like that is the Double Manning!
But if thats cool with you then why not?

Good luck mate,

Alex

Yeah, double manning is not my favourite thing, but I think I can survive that

sound great to me! good luck :sunglasses:

Good luck to yer, post some pics of yer trip if yer can

Sounds ok orys

Money not bad for a rigid job, shame about double manned though

At least you’ll get out and about and see some nice places, so take your camera

unless you get who kindle did lst year

go for it mate, thats not a bad wage if your getting time at home!! and yes, post pictures up!!

Double Manned Seems like long days will be expected for your £450 :exclamation:

yeah, but I have a lot to lern so I’ll just take my language books with me and will be paid for learning (when other chap will be driving)

quick word of warning orys, if the truck is a digital tachograph, when your the second driver it will NOT record you as having a break, so after the first 2 shifts you will have to stop for a 45 minute break

VOSA are accepting that the first 45 minutes are break.
But I don’t know how other countries are treating it.

That’s similar like in electronic old school tachos - they changing from break to POA when moving…

But I have nothing against breaks

Thanks a lot for letting me know.

It looks that it was sounded too good.

They moved it back another couple of weeks. So hence my new signature :frowning:
