Caravan or no caravan the driver of the car is a knob.
Oh yes indeed. He obviously had the arse end of the caravan heavy, I bet that aqua-roll was full, and they hold a fair weight of water.

You can hear the audio on the dashcam… So if that happened to me and I was caught off guard you would hear me shouting all sorts of funny words… See it happening um don’t speak lol
Caravan driver was wrong but lorry driver seen it coming I thinks

I recognised the road as the A39 into Glastonbury. This spot is notorious for people trying to cut each other up. It is single carriageway but for some reason a pathetically short bit of dual at the lights. It simply encourages people to race each other to the merge in point. There is no way the trucker can be at fault. Simply no way. These [zb] in cars must get in front at all costs. I’m glad he wrecked his poxy caravan.
Spot on.
Watching a plastic shed get destroyed is the best laugh I’ve had all week. \0/
The last time I drove a manual Daf CF was in 2008, after driving autos for years previous to that, getting some exercise for my left arm and leg was quite a refreshing change. I remember feeling like a proper trucker! ![]()
I watched that on Facebook a ton of times as it amused me, it could’ve been nasty if anything was coming the other way, but there wasn’t.
My thoughts, the caravan had a good run and went for it, lorry driver noticed and put his foot down to stop it, why I don’t know as a fast moving vehicle is unlikely to get in your way, so probably out of sheer pig headedness, but anyway, caravan kept going for it and hit the kerb on the island, or swerved around it and lost it, then things went seriously wrong in a hurry.
I don’t know if by slowing down the lorry could’ve prevented an accident of some kind as that keep left sign was always going to be involved somehow.

That caravan wasn’t going slightly faster than the truck, he was going way to fast for the developing conditions. I would be very surprised if he escaped without points on his licence for that one
The driver seems to be making a big deal over nothing though. He cant sleep because some car driver uses his truck to wipe his own arse out? Sounds like either playing the sympathy card or needs to deal with stress management one way or the other. From his perspective it is a very minor event. A slight ■■■■ on his unit and not his fault. What is there to lose sleep over?
He has probably already been contacted buy a cash for crash solicitor and wants to make the most out of it

Must have been years ago usually on an iPad now
I can’t really see the truck driver really being at fault the caravan was never going to make it even if he had kept a constant speed . There are times when you see this coming in your mirrors and you need to give it a bit of a squirt not to block them out but just to make the gap less appealing to the vehical bearing down from behind. But as for not sleeping and quitting work for a minor accident he’s going for the compo
Beeping of the horn was a tad late ![]()
I think the use of the horn was to try and reinforce the fact that he was in the right.
As others have implied on here, and I agree,he was happy for the incident to develop.

Actually ( hate that word) the beeping of the horn is only to let someone know of your presence!
I have read all replies etc
NO WAY is the hgv driver responsible. I paused the video several times to look at the point of contact and way before that there was no possible overtake manoeuvre. Seems to me that the caravaner committed his/herself and didn’t want to look like an idiot so continued and confirmed it! Driver didn’t accelerate but continued with road progress.
I agree I dont think he over accelerated as he was well past the bollards there was definitely nowhere for the car to go he/she (the car) has just floored it and gone for a gap that wasnt there, also Im sure if the lorry driver saw it in the mirror there would have been that split second of disbelief before reacting which would probably have been too late anyway, as for the beeping of the horn natural reaction from any of us i should think, late or not. As for some of the other comments on here I wish I was that perfect a driver, only managed it for 40 years and havnt hit anything yet Ouch caught my knuckles on the keyboard again. ![]()
I’ve watched the clip 4 times, and I can’t see anything lit
.
The car/caravan doesn’t have it’s’ road lights lit, and as it’s a new-ish caravan, it will have 12/240 volt light internal lighting, rather than the good old gas mantle types. If forensic examination shows that the caravan had his cooker lit, well that’s just plain stupid and the full force of the law should be brought to bear.
Hope that helps.
Goodnight.
Could this be the new pallet truck superman?
just another day for one of nolans transport ,
I always have the sound Turned off when recording on my dash cam. You can hear the driver laughing, I would be in hysterics.
Yep the Nolans driver saw it happen before it did, but there is 1 less of these tuppaware convention vehicles on the road.
What a moron.
Why has the title been changed?
