Saturday morning on m6 i sat at 45mph in the heavy snow. The amunt of truck drivers drivint flat out at 56 in the snow covered 2nd lane was ridiculous. They all think that because they are in a straight line that the same thing in the video wont happen. Ive had a jacknife at 20 mph in 1998 and i know how easy it it can be to lose the truck like in this video. The guy done brilliant to recover it. He obviously hasnt slammed on the brakes which is the natural reaction which would have put him into the barrier
noticed on sunday that a couple or artics where in the ditch on the southbound just south of the M18/M1 junction looks like a similar thing happened to them
I did like the bit halfway through where some helpful motorist sounded his horn! Probably just in case the trucker hadn’t noticed there was something wrong I assume.
i wonder what he was saying translated to,“bloody hell fire!”

I’ve had a very similar thing happen in a double drive I think the long wheelbase did help in that situation.
Most frightening experince I’ve ever had behind the wheel
as i have said before …those loonz that call themselvs truck drivers out on 3rd line on the limiter have been watching to much ice road truckers and think they can plough along with no regard for anyone or anything … had a stobarts go past me on the hill down to harthill service area a cpl of years back when we got hit by the really bad winter , m8 was shut for 4 days … but the stobart driver thought he knew better and overtook about 10 of us fellow artic drivers on the ice rutts…aye a mile down the road and he’s jack knifed it before j4 …just about shutting the m8 eastbound again …driver was fine but i bet he hasnt done that trick again

I think it’s him pressing the horn button while trying to rescue himself - he also switched on the wipers about the same time…
