weeto:
The question has to be, are fifth wheels up to the job these days? With trailers alone exceeding 36 tonnes, that fifth wheel looks ill!
Was he loaded when he hit you?
Just to add, I didn’t take the pic whilst driving, it’s off another site.
Some of the crash pictures ive seen sometimes i think the 5th wheel and trailer pin are made of frigin kryptonite. It may look ‘‘ill’’ but it held the trailer.
Same as I think. Look at the accident where the MAN rolled ontop of that house the other week, both the kingpin, and the twistlocks held in place through what looked a horrific crash.
well i woke up fri morn at the recovery yard all aching legs neck and shoulders so off i went to the hospital to be checked out.everything ok got explanation from doctor on why i ached which was a very good checkout by him.
the polish agency driver was ok nothing broken but they had to ship him off to the queen victoria hospital for plastic surgey to his lip as it was pretty messed up and needed specialized work done on it but apart from that he was ok.

So how did it end up in the back of the cab?
I’d say its more the cab being ripped off its mountings and pushed back into the trailer.
Really, well perhaps you should accompany the fowler welch driver to specsavers!
well sorry to say glad your ok mate ive been re ended in the past not nice, dont,t feel sorry for fowler welch they deserve it, me and 2 other drivers got shafted by them replacing us english drivers for cheaper Polish drivers, like someone said you pay peanuts you get idiots, the agency is simple recruitment, Peterborough boy do they love there Polish. Sorry bit of name and shame, thats why transport is so ■■■■■■ up at the moment.
After careful consideration, I believe the accident was the fault of the S&K driver, obviously the FW driver thought that it must be a mirage…nobody else has seen an S&K trailer in a condition that good…!
Also, we’ll throw in a customary ‘what if there had been a child in there…’ for good measure!
