Would this be legal?

Technically, I have worked 7 days

SWEDISH BLUE:

Technically, I have worked 7 days

You are allowed to work seven consecutive days, in fact you could quite legally work seven consecutive days every week, fifty-two weeks a year provided you fitted in your weekly rest period which you could start at 0100 Saturday and finish at 2200 Sunday for example.

Ok as long as you don’t exceed 90 hrs driving over each 2 wk period.

All looks kosher. I used to do 6 on 2 off when I was on continental express. Just watch wtd and your driving hours

SWEDISH BLUE did I hear your name being mentioned on radio 2’s traffic report this morning ?

Forget days
Think 24 hour periods

You need a legal break that finishes within 7 X 24 hour period , that period starts when previous weekly rest ends

Therefore if you start 23:00 on a sunday you must complete a weekly rest ( 24 or 45 hours ) by 23:00 the following sunday

6 X 24 = 144 hours

24 hours off = go again.

5 X 24 = 120 hours

45 hours off/ or start compensation of hours

Not hard

Quite easy.

Legal

You could always change your job every 2 days, making it harder for Vosa to keep track of you ?
Regards. John.

Oh I never thought of that, silly me. Did you not notice the " " at the end of my comment ? Maybe I touched a nerve eh ?
Regards. John.

Regs do not work on days they work on hours

There is not more than 144 hours between weekly rest so legal in that respect

No nerves touched
Just a stoopud comment on a genuine thread for a bloke with a genuine understandable problem , that was solved brilliantly by me with a precise and succinct answer
Try baiting me in next thread about driving over hero cyclists for fun
Will probs work

If you need 144 hrs :open_mouth: to make it pay , your in the wrong job :exclamation:
.
As above, crack on drive , looks kosher, though I dont give much for somebodys social life given those hours, or am I being pedantic ?

Although, ******
If you follow the WTD , your classed as a night-time worker and each shift day there quoted and total tally:
, you have breached the 10 hours,
, you have also breached the total 60 for the consecutive days worked.

You also dont mention what the planned hours of actual driving period are expected to reach within that shift set ? Have you taken into account the weekly and fortnightly limits for Drivers hours Regs  ##

60 hours worked is minus breaks and POA ,
Not start to finish times .
We can assume he signed the night time working regs as this standard practice when starting a job
