I’m not sure but I don’t think so, I did see a police prog about it not long ago, they had a Polish driver well over the limit and he was banned in the UK but the copper said he would just go back home and drive there, it should be an EU wide ban though but to do that they need a standardised breath test, more problems caused by the EU.

Why “caused by the EU”, surely it is a problem that could only be resolved by the EU?
The problem has not been “caused by the EU” - It has never been the case that driving bans in one country were effective in another, regardless of the existence of the EU.
In recent years there have been moves to rectify this - the “European Convention on Driving Disqualifications”, but so far the only result as far as UK drivers are concerned is that there is now a “mutual recognition” of disqualifications in effect between the UK and Republic of Ireland. Without the EU even that would probably never have happened.
