Hrs help please

Zac_A:
Except he’s planning on starting 6am Monday so he’s only going to get 35 hours from 19:00 on Saturday.

He’s not saying he’s working on boxing day, he means Mon 19th. So that’s when he could get his 45 hrs in
(Even though this is just a wind up thread).

Edit: there was an advert and I thought I’d reached the end, soz for repeating

Dont feed the troll…

^^^^^ Assuming that he had a regular weekly rest period last weekend, if he has a regular weekly rest period after next Saturdays shift he will have complied with the regulations that say you must have at least one regular weekly rest period in two consecutive weeks (paraphrasing).

Nowhere do the regulations say you cannot have two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods.

I’m well aware of that, the link I posted shows a graphic where there are two consecutive reduced rests.

Is it really safe to assume he had a regular weekly rest the previous weekend when he’s asking if he can do the shifts he wants to? Whatever the reality is of “The Poster Known as Dozy”, his reputation, plus his current question, wouldn’t inspire me to assume anything with any degree of confidence.

I never explained what I meant very well, if the OP had a regular weekly rest period last weekend and has a regular weekly rest period after next Saturdays shift he will have definitely complied with the weekly rest requirements.

If he had a reduced weekly rest period last weekend and this weekend then he may already have an infringement notice on the way.

Either way it wont make any difference to whether or not he can work next Saturday, as long as he has a regular 45 hour weekly rest period after next Saturdays shift that regular weekly rest period can count for the coming week (19th to 25th December) if necessary, so in the two week period from the 12th to 25th December he will definitely have had one reduced and one regular weekly rest period.

By the way, I don’t think Dozy’s anywhere near as dozy as he likes to make out

Dozy is…

One of the downsides to being literate.

I seriously think dozy needs professional medical help. His posts shows signs of manic depression, bi-polar disorder and delusion. His postings go waay beyond “trolling” or simply playing the wind up.

What about this then

What about this then

Yes, all the know it calls, usually giving forth their knowledge, seem to forget that the weekly rest reduction needs to be compensated. In one lump, added to another weekly, or daily rest.

All this, is first day, basic knowledge, that any driver should know. It’s not rocket science.

Which leaves just one question…

Thanks all , i agree I should know , but after doing the hours I’ve done lately ( printouts on agency famine thread ) I’m tired , and ready for a break , so I’ll have Xmas eve at the side of the pool with a cool beer
