Hows my driving? For cars

We’ve all seen the “Hows my Driving” stickers on the back of a lorry with a number to call, well how about a similar scheme for cars? I’ve lost count of the number of times a car or van has performed a dangerous manovure which has nearly caused a serious accident and they drive on without any thought about the consequences of their actions.

Now if you had a national database you could call up and report these (zb)s, nothing special just leave the reg number and a brief explaination of their bad driving, if the same registration comes up maybe two or three times they get flagged up and pulled over by the police (or maybe the highways agency) for a little chat about they’re driving skills, might inconvenience them enough to see that driving like a (zb) all the time is gonna get em into trouble.

Maybe after five or more complaints a penalty notice can be issued for bad driving and they can reported to their insurance company or something, if they wont change their attitude they may as well pay for it.

What do you think?

I can do that anyway - note reg number - fill in form at local police station - police then call on ‘alleged’ offender at their home to ‘have a word’

The idea of a national tel number to do the same would make things easier but may be open to abuse

Have a look at www.betterdrivingplease.com (or.co.uk) some of the reports are way too detailed to be paying attention to the road whilst recording all the info.
