I’m sure you’d strap a truck down thru the wheels (de rooys do) just make sure your straps and ratchets have the labels still on them

Depends on the type of vehicle. For most stuff, though, Cross strap or choker strap both wheels on at least two axles.
4 straps in a cross on all 4 wheels, job done,m it also covers the forward and reverse motion, and check straps at every coffee stop.
Another for the wheels. The reason you don’t strap or chain to the body or chassis of the vehicle being carried is because they have suspension so will be bouncing up and down and on the downward the chains/straps slacken and fall off.
