Hello!I’ve passed my ADR licence in Poland. How Can I exchange it??
Hi Eric,
You have had two correct answers above.
There is no need for you to exchange your ADR licence.
Your Polish ADR licence (card) is in the new standardised format, so it’s recognised in all 46 other ADR member countries, including the UK.
Hi
Can someone advise on the below please.
I have UK hgv licence however I plan to get ADR in Poland.
I have been told that I will need to attach my polish ADR to my UK license.
How will I be able to do so and how long will it take?
Appreciate the advise.
Many thanks
adr is not attached to your license.
do you mean you want the cpc hours credit to go to your cpc card
Hi cooper1203
Thank you for your response.
I need Adr for my new job and just wanted to do it in Poland instead of here in UK.
Will Polish Adr card be valid here in uk? if I do it in Poland , can I transport dangerous goods here in uk ? do I need to inform dvla about attaching it to my uk license? If so, how do I do it, is there a form to fill ? Or do I need to let them know?
Or can I just drive and transport as normal with uk hgv and polish adr card without informing anyone?
Your ADR certification has nothing to do with your driving licence: they are entirely separate qualifications.
Hi les_sylphides
Does that mean I can work in uk and transport dangerous goods with Polish ADR card without letting dvla know?
I may well have been wrong about the two being completely separate. Mine ran out twenty years ago so I’m not the best person to ask. I’ve just dug it out and on the back it there’s a para that says if you change your name or address you have to return your licence to Swansea SA6 7JL so that they can issue you with a replacement licence AND Dangerous Goods Vocational Training Certificate. So clearly they are closely linked.
The chief Mod on here, Dieseldave, is an expert in this field so try DM-ing him.
Or just ring up Swansea and ask (good luck with that one!).
im looking at my current adr card. it has an
1 id? no.
2 my surname
3 my fore names
4 date of birth
5 nationality
6 my signature
7 department for transport
8 valid to date
and on the back it has the classes i have covered in packages and tanks.
Significantly, the certificate number is the same as your driving licence number.
no the one on the adr card is numeric only and 7 digits long
interestingly… if this is a polish verstion of the adr card it seems the certificate number is alpha numeric not having a polish driving license to compare to i wouldnt know if that is linked to it or not
i dont have section 4d on my license so no idea what it relates to however it seems to be over the photo of both cards as well
probably some unnecessary eu cobblers designed to give the non jobs something to do
That’s where we differ then: mine isn’t a card, it’s an old-fashioned printed paper document. The system may have changed since my day.
Written on paper?
At least not on a clay tablet then.
to be fair to you… i did see somewhere while looking for images the sqa (the officiating exam body) say if you change address you should notify them so they can update their records.
i had to exchange mine because the original one faded i found a post from me asking how i go about it on here. seems like i came back an said i phoned them?? and gave my name address and dob.
back to the op. i belive he has a uk license and wants to work in the uk. however he wishes to do the course in poland for what ever reason. the card is sent to the address your provide. I assume the op will give a british address and therefore dont see an issue however i am not a dgsa so i wouldnt take my word for it and would seek one out.
