Read a post earlier where a driver was asking if there was somewhere in a lorry that had a 12v socket - because “he didnt want to be bored” - presume he wanted to watch a dvd or something on a night out ?
Whatever happened to parking up near a pub/club where possible and getting out of the cab for a while
Can still be done cant it ?

Hi Curnock was it six the radio started then as I used to listen to long wave then radio two which the late Ray Moore started and I thought it was six when it started up in the morning but it was a while ago and I would not put money on it.It is possible it changed when they changed it from the light program to radio two a drop of malt may be needed to get my cell fired up or a boot up the jacksie .
cheers Johnnie
It has always amused me how some drivers will pull into a parking area and pull their curtains without speaking to another driver, this has migrated onto the continent and at the last company there were 2 or 3 English drivers parked in the same place who ignored each other or never got out of the cab unless to ■■■■ on the wheel.
I have always eaten out and only succumbed to a fridge in the last 5 years as an emergency supply while stuck in France on a weekend.

Hi Johnnie.
Never had a wireless in a cab until about 1975,then I couldn’t hear the bloody thing unless I was parked up.
Wireless = radio by the way.

Hi Denis I think you are correct as the light program was 1500 on long wave when it was wireless before radios and you could pick that up down to Paris in the 60s I can’t remember when they changed to radio 1,2,3ect. but I would guess around 1970

Radio one came in 1967,don’t know when the rest of them changed,as you say it was the light program and home service etc before.
