I always drop suspension and reverse just under tri , get out and raise up suspension making sure it’s lifting tri , get back in and reverse onto pin .
It seems very simple too me , I’ve never run under the pin, hit the cab , damaged the Suzis etc
So how’s the agency driver who had my truck the w/ end managed to run under the pin , hitting the a - frame into the back of the cab , breaking the welds on one side of the the a - frame/ damaged aero kit etc and not even mention it too anyone , you can’t miss it , the a - frame is embedded into the back of the cab .
And the t.o bods answer is a shrug of his shoulders and we had too man it as you refuse too work o/ time zb idiot
I
When I was at Stobbies mate, some knobends would drop the trailers with the mid lift axle on the Scania’s up. And I reckon high suspension too at times.
I remember having a Volvo one day and I couldn’t get the pin it was dropped that high. Had to get out and wind the legs down.
All it takes is a driver who just wants to back straight in Ice Road Truckers stylee without checking and WHAM.
This will make you laugh, had an agency at our place other week he had to ask how do you release the coupling on trailer

Thats for a stupid prize winner award
P.S. I have seen this happen, driver ram the truck underneath the trailer, without lowering suspension of raising the trailer. Stupid, careless people what else to say.
On one Side one of the Shunters lifts Trailer on Bay and turns Legs down. if you dont know you reverse under Kingpin

One of your last posts about end of year earnings said 70+ hours last two weeks always high 60’s how many hours do you have to do before o/t.?
When I’m shunting I often watch drivers dropping trailers AFTER they’ve raised the unit suspension and wound the legs down as far as they physically can. What I then do is check the computer to see what trailer they’re picking up next and I zip around in the Terberg, lift the trailer 6 inches and wind the legs into the floor.
Petty and childish? You bet, but as telling them makes no difference I do this to see if it’ll sink into their thick heads.
pretty much expected from a shunter small brain low iq

Nah, you’re just adjusting your educational technique using the medium of nonverbal “practical” communication.

Bugger me Maoster, can i come and join you in the Terberg for an hour or two, that’s bloody brilliant… however whether they learn from it is another thing altogether.
Its sheer stupidity at so many levels, idiots dropping them far too high, and other idiots who just ram straight under often enough just on the mirrors, not sure which is the more stupid to be honest.
In the days of steel springs, anyone dropping an empty sky high would be in for some verbal at the very least, especially if the trailer had only one leg gear as many did, and the poor sod picking it up had to build a ramp to lift it enough long enough to get the legs wound up a bit.

Does the crap you post make sense in your head before you type it? If so it’s losing something in the translation.
You have the cheek to say I have a low IQ, judging by your idiotic ramblings yours actually begins with a decimal point.

What’s the logic of your post, as I’d assume ALL shunters have done many many miles on the roads prior to shunting.

You destroyed a building then blamed a stationery van and still kept your job so I wouldn’t go complaining the reaction to a bit of damage is only a shrug of the shoulders

Fair enough, there’s always an exception…
I’m still assuming that’s not the norm!
