How the Mainstream Media throws Truckers under the bus

Article today, designed to project upon the “low information reader” that Trucker Man Bad, even when no truck is involved, no trucker involved, and no truth being told…

The article didn’t even tell us the value of his house like Daily Fail would, as this guy is apparently of “no fixed abode…”

He smashed the “must make the boat” button. I’ve used it on occasion too…

Unlike the muppet reporters, I wouldn’t have called that a truck or a lorry. And the prat behind the wheel ain’t a lorry driver.

Looks like a luton. Could be one of those 5t lutons with dual axle which would make it fall in the class of a truck as you would need a C1 to drive it. Heck even a 7.5 lorry is a truck that could well be a 7.5t vehicle.
Does look like a luton though but hard to tell image is not the best.

I didnt see any misinformation.

“Mista was handed a ten month prison sentence and, given he was kept on remand in October, could be released imminently under the good behaviour rule.”

This is the issue that bugs me the most. You can tell there is zero punishment for these types. He didnt care at all, nor did he think he done anything wrong. Zero punishment and they can just do it again.

Also how can a foreign national come over here and not have a fixed abode? Its just nuts.
In China, you have to inform the local police station of where you are living when you move into a new place as a foreigner. Personally, I like that idea.

His attitude alone should of warranted deportation. He showed no respect for our laws. Yet, that wont happen.

I may sound like some daily mail reader saying all this but I stand by it.

I dont particulary like France. But if I broke the law in france and disregarded what a judge was saying as nonsense I’d be fully deserving of deportation.

“Truckers under the bus”?
I don’t see anything wrong with giving him a dose of porridge, I certainly wouldn’t class that as a slur on skilled law-abiding lorry drivers, I’m pretty sure most members of the GP would look at him a a van driver. I’d have given him extra porridge for not taking it seriously.

Love the comment from the clueless member of the public who posted a comment saying typical lorry drivers always over their hours and over weight loads .

With respect, if you’re looking at the same quote as me, that’s not what he said, I quote “Another cretin driving those trucks as they can avoid tacho laws and are normally overloaded.”
And he’s probably right, looks like one of those LWB 3.5 tonne curtain-siders with sleeper pod that the Polish love so much for doing JIT deliveries here.
There are usually one or two parked up in my local Tesco car park having a kip, there has to be a reason why they choose these in preference to a bigger motor, I’ve always though they look heavy and no tacho needed so who knows what kind of hours they’re doing.

I misread that too quickly, you are right .

It ain’t a truck/lorry and the lying POS didn’t end up on the wrong side of the road because he thought it would get him to the boat on time.
I doubt that he’s even Polish.
More like Bulgarian or Romanian peasant given the keys to a van and told to move stuff as cheaply as possible.
He should have had contempt of court added to his sentence followed by summary deportation to ‘Poland’ and banned from the country and the vehicle and its load seized and sold.
Instead of which our taxes now have to keep the zb.

I’ve never agreed with Carryfast so much.

The guy was literally bragging that it wasnt a big deal and he wasnt scared. Still needs translator despite being in the country for years no doubt. All at tax payer expense.
If you live in a country for years you need to make the effort to at least learn for language.
