The lorry looks a bit of a mess. The driver is lucky to only suffer a broken arm. He may never drive an HGV again if he did indeed blackout at the wheel and lucky he didn’t take anyone else with him. Still it sounds better than being on the phone reading a text. But maybe I’m just being presumptuous

I assume you have not read it then as it doesn’t tell you the answer. His dad was reported to say his son might have passed out.
Probably overworked working for his dad’s skip firm, or too many late nights out on work nights being a relative youngster, or fannying around on his phone. Any number of reasons it happened. I doubt we will ever find out the exact cause either.
