Tests ! yer must be a load of nancy’s. :wink: I got mine on grandad rights… just. I was just chucked in a 12 speed Foden with a Gardner 180 of course, and told to ■■■■ off.

Had to delay on the car test as YTS money wasn’t enough to do the lessons, but I passed at 17 years and 8 months in Jan 87, then did Class 1 test 2 weeks after my 21st in 1990. Didn’t bother with bike till I was 28 though. Passed all those first time. Had to emigrate to fail a test… at 36 :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I passed my C a week before my 22 birthday which was 3 weeks ago on friday.

and in a couple of weeks time ill be doing my C+E might as well get them while i have no job

I was 23 when I passed my Cat C!

Car and bike at 17 H.G.V at 21 and i still can’t reverse.

Took and passed my car test 7 weeks after 17th birthday.
Took and passed class 1,5 weeks after 21st birthday.

As an aside,i was driving a7.5t until 3 wks before 21st b-day,then told by the company that there was work for HGV’s only and 7.5t was being sold.
As soon as i passed my HGV,there would be a job waiting.
Went to the dole office,explained situation and asked if they would help with cost of test,trainig etc.
NO!
Just to rub salt into the wound,she asked if i’d booked my 4 days HGV training and when i replied ‘yes’,she said that i wasn’t to sign on that week as i wasn’t available for work.

Took my class 1 at 23/24 so that was 24 yrs ago was driving trnsits and 7.5 tonners before that :unamused: them was the days :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

Passed car when I was 18 failed first time literally around the corner for the test centre, passed both C and C&E first time on both of them which I was amazed at, when I was 22, I’m now the ripe old age of 23 :wink:
